Mark commented, “I wanted to deliver an emotional impact that still can’t be created by electronic instruments. This completely acoustic score was composed in the grand tradition of orchestral film music and featured over 80 players.”

Academy Award winner Cuba Gooding Jr. stars as Carl Brashear, a young third-class sailor with dreams of being the first African-American to become a master diver in the U.S. Navy. Based on the true story of Carl Brashear’s life, this film is a larger-than-life personal drama of one man’s unstoppable will pitted against another man’s powerful opposition.

Academy Award winner Robert DeNiro stars as Billy Sunday, a troublemaker and legendary diver who was removed from active duty due to medical problems and made a Training Officer. Mark enjoyed this first-time collaboration with Director George Tillman, Jr. (Soul Food) and Producer Robert Teitel (Soul Food).

The title song “Win” was written and performed by Brian McKnight, with Mark producing and arranging the strings for the song. Mark says, “Brian is such a talented musician. I was thrilled to work with him and to be a part of this collaboration. I look forward to working with Brian in the future.”
