Just thought we’d throw an interesting casting choice for ABC’s “Once Upon a Time” up. Robert Carlyle (Trainspotting, The Full Monty, 28 Weeks Later) has been cast to play the intriguing character of Rumpelstiltskin.

Carlyle’s Rumpelstiltskin is an expert in black magic who agrees to help Snow White and Prince Charming counteract the Evil Queen’s spells … for a price.

A number of tweets and pictures have shown up online in the last few days that reveal shooting has begun for the pilot, which will feature original music from Mark Isham.
