Next Wednesday, Feb. 9th, Mark will be online at Isham.com to discuss The Mechanic score and the reasons behind starting his own label, MIM Records. If 50 people log on to the chat, everyone will get a high quality AIFF/WAV/FLAC audio file from the Mechanic score. None of this low quality mp3 stuff…
You can post questions in the comments here, on Facebook and Twitter, or ask them live on Wednesday.
Exact time TBA.
See you there!

Hi Mark,
I’m not going to be able to join the chat unfortunately, but I do have a question I’d like to ask about your score for the first season of the Crash TV series. One of the things I really enjoyed about the program was that it had this drifting, bubbling ambience to it, and your score perfectly captured the feel. I’m curious if you have any stories you can share about working on that score and/or your thoughts on the music now that you can look back on the project.
BTW, I had written to the website here asking if a release was going to happen, and even though I was told no initially I was then contacted two days later and told that plans had been made for a release. So I’m taking a little bit of credit for this coming out. 😉 Kidding aside, I do listen to the CD at least once a week, and was wondering if you could make suggestions about other releases of yours that have that same sound/style.
Thanks for the great music over the years, and for this release in particular!! I hope you can make it to New York for some live performances at some point and play some of this material live.
Chris
